We’re a Black-owned, story-driven board game publishing company dedicated to expanding who gets to create, who gets to be seen, and who gets to play.

Our name reflects the heart of our mission. Embers represent the spark of new ideas, often coming from creators who have historically been overlooked in the games industry. Oak symbolizes lasting strength, community roots, and the power of stories passed down. Together, they reflect where we come from and what we’re building: a creative space where new voices grow into something enduring.
